Hello, my name is Renuka, and I am 45 years old from Sri Lanka. I worked as a cook and maid in a hotel and with multicultural families here and abroad. First, in Lebanon, I was a chef in one of the hotels there.

After my contract ended, I came to Dubai to try my luck, and I became a nanny with a British family who had a 4-year-old child.

After my contract ended, I worked with an Indian family as a maid and cook, and then with another British family who owned a business called Karak 22, where I worked as a cook.

Lastly, I worked with a Canadian family again as a cook and maid.

My duty as a cook is to attend to the detail and presentation of each order, place and expedite orders, prepare ingredients by following recipes, such as slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients, adding seasonings, verifying taste, and plating meals.

As a maid, I make sure the house is clean and tidy by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, doing laundry and ironing, scrubbing, making beds, changing linens, curtains, and garbage disposal.

While being a nanny, I ensure that the child under my care is happy, comfortable, and safe. I change her clothes, bathe her, groom her, send her to school, and fetch her afterwards. I give her snacks, schedule her nap times, and after which we go to the park and play with kids her age, accompanying her to swimming with her friends, teaching her English, and how to socialize with others, and finally putting her to sleep.

I am good at cooking anything asked of me, and I am also comfortable with pets because I also have a pet cat at home.

Currently, I am seeking a live-out position in Dubai, holding a TOURIST visa. My preference is for a nanny/maid role, with weekends off on either Saturday or Sunday. I am looking for a salary of 3000 AED and hope to find an employer willing to provide a working visa and regular benefits. While on a tourist visa, I am available for interviews at any time.
